Last month I had the opportunity to head to Florence, possibly my favorite city in Italy, to develop some content for the beautiful Hotel Arizona. Winter in Florence meant the air was brisk and the shadows were long, making sun drenched alleyways the place to be.
Here, life moves a bit slower and that’s what makes it such a lovely place to visit. The people, food, and overall appreciation for life is inspiring and is something that can often be overlooked in America, especially in New York where life can easily turn into one big rush.
Staying at Hotel Arizona (highly recommended!) meant it was a quick walk to the Ponte Vecchio and Lungarno degli Archibusieri, pictured above. If you find yourself in Florence, these are a few things worth checking out:
- Sunrise at Piazza Michelangelo
- Cupola del Brunelleschi
- Mercato di Sant'Ambrogio
- Porratti Antonio
- Pino's Sandwiches
- Vivoli (featured on the Netflix show I'll Have What Phil's Having)
- Crema and hazelnut flavors are a must try!
With each visit to Italy, I’ve returned home incredibly inspired by the landscape, people, food, and memories made in this incredible country.
